Yamantaka

“Within Buddhism, ‘ending reincarnation’ is a quality of all Buddhas, as they have stopped the infinite cycle of rebirth, Saṃsāra. Yamāntaka represents the goal of the journey toward enlightenment; in the final awakening, one manifests Yamāntaka and destroys the simulation—the end of the infinite cycle of reincarnations.”

Yamantaka is a project created in 2024 by Melissa Meluna [Amalantrah] from Chile and Cristian Castelán [Neormm] from Mexico. A Folk Ritual / Slamcore project focused on active meditation, Buddhist ceremonies, and pagan instruments. Using immersive dark atmospheres with organic textures, it is based on ancient rituals and purifying chants.

The main idea is to take the listener on a deep journey filled with sounds that lead to an altered state of consciousness, connecting body and soul, and thus transmuting energy through dance. They are part of The Endless Knot [USA], Khnum Crew [Brazil], and have recently joined the Mexican label Twenty-Five Records and the new Brazilian label Roots Trance Records.

Their first album, titled “Solis et Lunae Cultus,” has just been released by The Endless Knot, featuring collaborations with artists such as CinderVomit, The Anti Priest, Braio, Bahaael, and Vutt’un.
